The basic task of the project is to equip the existing software radio laboratory with components for conducting experiments with the most modern Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, focusing primarily on NB-IoT, eMTC, LoRa and IEEE 802.15.4 technologies and emerging 5G technologies and the use of this laboratory in the pedagogical process, specifically in practical laboratory exercises of several existing subjects of engineering studies. The project brings innovative teaching methods, coping with problems associated with the different difficulty of implementing base station algorithms and IoT nodes, and at the same time brings students practical experience with real mobile communication network technologies such as LTE-A, NB-IoT and eMTC.
